About SenchaWorld

SenchaWorld was created in June 2011 out of a desire to grow extjs.tv into something more than basic video site and give more access and information so that others could also enjoy the wonderful technology toolkits and applications that Sencha Inc provide.

SenchaWorld is not run or affiliated with Sencha Inc in any way. It is an UNOFFICIAL, unrelated site by a fan who just wanted to organise things a little different so that people could find things easier (that’s the aim anyway).

Chris Dawes (dawesi) who runs Dawes International has been using ExtJS since around version 0.2 when Jack Slokum and a bunch of leading edge cowboys put more time and effort into the framework than they had free. He was for a long time very active in the community and now is pretty busy building web, desktop and mobile applications with ExtJS, Sencha Touch and Adobe Air with a ColdFusion (or Railo CFML) and MSSQL backend.

For those interested there is a SenchaWorld Roadmap which is a live document and will grow over time.
